W’adrhŭn : Quatl

Hovering on the thermal currents above the oases of the Desolate Lands, the Quatl captured the imagination of the W'adrhun from the very beginning. Unfortunately, the process of bonding and domesticating these fearsome beasts is a laborious one, and must begin as soon as they hatch, when the Quatl becomes imbued with the first living being it identifies as its ‘mother’. Countless Braves have met a tragic end trying to tame adolescent Quatls, torn apart by enraged parents or by the beast itself. Once the secret of impregnation had been discovered, the number of Quatl riders increased, but the scarcity of healthy eggs curbed this growth.
