Sherman V

Supplied to Great Britain under the Lend-Lease programme, the M4A4 was re-designated as the Sherman V by its new operators. It quickly became the backbone of British and Polish armoured forces, and was also used by Free French units. As the most widely used British tank of the Second World War, the Sherman V played a central role from D-Day through to the final battles in Germany.
