Insurgency Force (English)

Maintaining any Vatican presence in Venice is a constant struggle. The local population strongly opposes Church authority, forcing the Pope to send regular reinforcements that become increasingly dangerous with each deployment. Recruited from southern France, some soldiers are true believers, while others fight simply for the promised payment from one of Europe’s wealthiest powers. This mixture produces forces that are both motivated and somewhat unpredictable in combat.
