Malifaux is a twisted mirror of an alternate Earth in the 1900s, a world of gothic horror, Victorian architecture, steampunk constructs, and wild west gunslingers. In these unstable and dangerous lands, undead amalgamations, monstrous apparitions, and other entities born of nightmare or forbidden science lurk in the shadows. Despite the constant danger, some continue to operate here, drawn by Soulstones—valuable resources buried deep within cavernous catacombs, worth far more than the risks required to obtain them.
