German Heer 8.8cm Flak 37

Originally developed as an anti-aircraft gun, the 8.8cm Flak 37 – nicknamed the "Eighty-eight" by Allied forces – quickly gained a fearsome reputation as a deadly anti-tank weapon. With its high muzzle velocity, it could destroy enemy armor at long range. As one infantryman put it, the 88 was "anti-everything."
