French Army Support Group

At the outbreak of World War II, the French army was regarded as the most powerful in the world. Well-equipped with modern artillery, solid tanks, and numerous infantry divisions, France appeared ready to defend its borders with the same resolve as in the Great War. However, this new conflict brought a radically different pace. The rapid, mechanized tactics of the German Blitzkrieg often left French infantry units struggling to respond to fast-moving armored assaults.
