Malifaux is a twisted mirror of an alternate Earth in the 1900s, a world of gothic horror, Victorian architecture, steampunk constructs, and wild west gunslingers. In these unstable and dangerous lands, the undead walk alongside monstrous apparitions and other entities born of nightmare or forbidden science. Despite the constant threat, some still venture here, drawn by Soulstones—rare crystals buried deep within cavernous catacombs, whose value far outweighs the risks taken to obtain them.
