"I’ve walked this hellhole back and forth, before and after the bombs, and let me tell you, kid, I don’t think much has changed. There were still armies fighting each other, brutes stealing from the weak, and idiots trying to sell you something. Sure, things got weirder. Big green monsters that could crush you by sitting on you. Black insects with frightening red eyes. A bunch of people in the Capital Wasteland worshiping a bomb. I would have remembered things like that if they had happened back then. I think. My memory may fail me now, but I am sure of one thing: war… war never changes."
